God – Creator of all things seen and unseen
We believe there is one God.  God created the world. He continues to create life. He is judge.  He is faithful.  He is forgiving. He does not change.  He cannot lie, break promises, or divorce you.  He is a jealous God.  He will pursue your heart, and allow your heart to grieve, break and long for Him.  He is Love.
(1Cor. 8:6; Genesis 1:1; Psalm 7:11; 1Cor 1:9; Micah 7:18; Deut. 5:9; 1John 4:8)

Jesus – Savior of the World
We believe Jesus is God’s son.  He lived a perfect life.  He is both fully human and fully God.  He healed people, spoke truth and stood up for those who couldn’t.  He came to earth to die, not for glory or self-indulgence.  He died so that we may live, forever.  He was raised to life, after his death.  He is alive now, with God.
(Matthew 16:16; John)

Holy Spirit – God’s Spirit with Us
God’s spirit is His gift to us.  He dwells in those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  He will counsel, comfort, teach and empower.  He is that voice urging us to do more, be more and to boldly, “Go”.
(Acts 2:38; John 14:17, 26; 16:8, 13)

Bible – A roadmap for life
Nothing has stood the test of time like God’s word.  For centuries people have tried to refute it, live against it and have as little to do with it as possible.  It is absolute, true and divinely written through inspired human authors.  When it comes to living faithfully and the way we go about our business, it is the authority.  (2 Timothy 3:15-17)

Salvation – God’s way of returning us to Him
We have all failed God.  It’s called sin and we are all guilty.  God is our father, and He and he alone loves us unconditionally.  Through Jesus’ death, God has provided a way for us, broken people, to be made whole again.  This is done privately by faith (believing that God has the power to save) and repentance (turning back to God, depending on him, and allowing Him to direct our lives). At the same time we publicly confess our acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior and submit ourselves to Baptism.
(Romans 3:23; Hebrews 3:12; Romans 8:38-39; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8; Acts 2:38; 1John 1:9)

Mankind – Created to love
We are created in the image of God.  This means all of us have characteristics of God woven in and through us.  Since God is love, we too are made to love.  We are created to love emotionally, physically and spiritually.  We are created to glorify and honor God.  In all we do, we are to bring God joy.
(Genesis 1:27; Acts 4:12; Romans 12:1-2; Philippians 4:4)

Church – Not a building
The biggest misconception in today’s congregations is that we identify church as the building.  The church is the people, the body of Christ. The church is imperfect people striving to be a part of something greater and bigger than ourselves. Sharing thoughts, feelings and frustrations about life and the journey God has them on.  It is people wanting their hearts revived, minds renewed and lives transformed.  It is not a place, rather a people, struggling with different parts of life, moving closer to the heart of God.
(Acts 9:21)
